Created by the Board of County Commissioners and organized in 1970, the Monroe County Housing Authority (MCHA) owns, manages, develops, and administers Federal, State, and local affordable workforce housing programs and grants for our community's very low-income to moderate-income families. The Authority owns 50 public housing units, 130 multi-family project-based units, 76 affordable housing units, and 204 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8).
